HEALTH INITIATIVES

INTERNAP CAMEROON' health initiatives includes reaching out hard to reach communities with health access through the establishment of community health centres that provides basic and affordable health needs to the communities. 

Our health initiative also includes sexual and reproductive health and rights education, where community members are provided with access to family planning, health counseling and access to information regarding child up-brining.

Gender 

Education programs provide structured and comprehensive learning experiences to students of all ages, helping them acquire knowledge, develop skills, and achieve their full potential. 

Some activities includes;

  • Capacity building to community leaders on women's human rights and HIV and AIDS Prevention; 
  • Building Movements of women living with HIV and AIDS through formation of alliances between support groups,
  • Providing economic empowerment trainings and micro support.
  • Volunteering in hospitals on HIV and AIDS voluntary counselling and testing and antenatal follow- up pregnant women and girls.
  • Organizing sensitizations campaigns, workshops and seminars on the consequences of Child Marriage and the importance of girl's education. And providing Married Girls with support to retune back to school.

                   EDUCATION PROGRAM

INTERNAP Education program provide structured and comprehensive learning experiences to vulnerable persons especially women and girls facing displacements due to conflicts, disasters,  child force marriages etc. , helping them acquire knowledge, develop skills, and achieve their full potential. 

Some Activities includes:

  • Providing educational opportunities to vulnerable girls and women.
  • Supporting Girls to complete primary and secondary education
  • Training of girls on girls self-Esteem, leadership, reproductive health and SITs prevention.
  • Educating parents on effective family planning including financial management. 
  • organizing advocacy meetings with traditional council members to influence a change in some cultural practices affecting the advancement of girls and women.

Women and Girls Rights

We carryout advocacy campaigns with community, traditional and government leaders on consequences of gender discrimination and the importance of educating a girl child and also work with other organizations to influence an action on perpetrators of domestic violence and women and girl's right violators.

Some activities includes, Advocacy on child's rights, School fees and materials support, Computer and leadership training, Economic Empowerment, Micro-Support 



   

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

This program brings together skilled local and international volunteers who are interested in contributing to the realization of INTERNAP'S Mission. some of the volunteers provide capacity building to vulnerable groups in their local communities and others help INTERNAP on organizational development including fundraisings.

Our volunteer program also welcome international student who want to visit our beneficiary communities and we provide them with travel assistance including visa application, accommodation and in country travels. if you are interested in volunteering with us please send as an email in our get in touch page.
